How the 180-day rule works for ILR:
To qualify for Indefinite Leave to Remain, you must not have been absent from the UK for more than 180 days in any rolling 12-month period during your qualifying period (usually 5 years for Skilled Worker visa holders).
This tool checks every possible 12-month window across all your trips. All 12-month windows must be under 180 days, not just the calendar years.
Note: Departure and arrival days are generally counted as days present in the UK. This calculator counts the days between your departure and return dates as your absence period.
